West Virginia
Seneca Rocks, Spruce Knob & the South Branch
Part of the Allegheny Front, which West Virginia shares with Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia, where it goes on as Cumberland & the Allegheny Front, Altoona, Johnstown & the Alleghenies and the Alleghany Highlands.
The South Branch valleys lie beneath Seneca's cliffs and Spruce Knob's high ridge.
Sugar maple, red maple, oak, hickory and beech colour the ridges and deep wooded valleys.
