For the western Highway 60 sugar-maple canopy, the park’s Friends report September 29 as the 2026 peak, September 25 in 2025 and September 27 as the long-term average. This year was two days later than that average. This is one tree, the sugar maple, along one stretch of road; it says nothing about the other trees or about any forecast’s wider window.
