Part of the Missouri River Valley, which Missouri shares with Kansas, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota, where it goes on as Atchison & the Missouri River hills, Lake Sakakawea & the Missouri bluffs and Bismarck, Mandan & the southern Missouri, and in five more parts of Nebraska and South Dakota.
Jefferson City’s river bluffs connect the central Missouri towns with the northern Ozark rim.
Oak, hickory and maple color the ridges and river valleys.
