The West Michigan lakeshore
Part of the Lake Michigan Shore, which Michigan shares with Illinois and Indiana, where it goes on as Chicago & the lakefront and the Indiana Dunes & Calumet shore.
Dunes, river mouths and wooded ridges above Lake Michigan surround the western shore towns.
Oak and maple colour dune woods while beech brightens sheltered valleys.
As of , no photograph from this autumn has come from the West Michigan lakeshore, and no place, camera or drive of this site is in it yet.
