Before a visit
The Acadia panorama camera looks over part of the park from McFarland Hill. For a visit, choose a public trail or drive and check the park’s notices below.
Cadillac Summit Road needs a vehicle reservation
Vehicle reservations are required May 20–October 25, 2026. A park entrance pass is separate, and a reservation does not assign a parking space. This applies to Cadillac Summit Road, not the McFarland Hill camera.
Check Acadia’s current alerts
Read park closures and conditions before choosing a trail or scenic drive. A clear photograph from McFarland Hill does not establish access elsewhere.
