Part of the Ridge and Valley, which Pennsylvania shares with Georgia, where it goes on as Rome, Cartersville & the Coosa Valley.
Happy Valley and its neighbouring Juniata ridges are central Pennsylvania's long mountain country.
Maple, oak, hickory, birch and beech colour the ridges, gorges and wooded river slopes.
