Part of the Berkshires and the Taconics, which Massachusetts shares with Connecticut and Vermont, where it goes on as the Litchfield Hills & the Housatonic and Manchester, Dorset & the southern Green Mountains.

The Berkshire hills join Greylock, the Housatonic and the southern Taconics.

Maple, oak, birch and beech colour the uplands, valleys and town parks.
