Alabama
The Black Belt
Part of the Black Belt, which Alabama shares with Mississippi, where it goes on as the Golden Triangle & Black Prairie.
Prairie openings, old towns and river woods hold the Black Belt together across west Alabama.
Bottomland oak, sweetgum and cypress give scattered color around open pasture.
As of , no photograph from this autumn has come from the Black Belt, and no place, camera or drive of this site is in it yet.
